What is Operator trunk
Operator trunk is the trunk between your Placement or Samlokalisering and the handover point at the exchange. The product is a basic prerequisite for ordering Telia Wholesale Fiber and for interconnecting equipment between different operators.
The operator trunk consists of a cabling system that connects the operator’s Inplacement or Samlokalisering to the exchange termination point for leased lines. Each operator uses a dedicated operator trunk, both for connection to Telia Wholesale Fiber and for interconnection with other operators. Skanova owns, installs, and maintains the connection up to the OFP, where you connect your own equipment.

Operator Trunk in practice
Through the operator trunk, you gain access to Skanova’s products directly from your Placement or Samlokalisering. The trunk is used both for connection to Telia Wholesale Fiber and to enable interconnection between different operators’ equipment at the exchange.
With the product Telia Wholesale Inom Nod, operator trunks can be interconnected at the handover point, creating the conditions for cooperation between operators with clear technical demarcation points.
Service levels for fault resolution
If something goes wrong, you should get support quickly. Fault resolution for Operator Trunk follows the service level of the connection that is carried over the trunk. You normally report the fault on the connection itself, and the process continues from there. Telia handles faults related to the transported connection, while Skanova is responsible for the Operator Trunk up to the OFP. You are responsible for your own equipment and for ensuring that the OFP is accessible during troubleshooting.
