We connect Sweden
The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) and the Swedish Armed Forces identify seven critical societal sectors, all dependent on continuous connectivity and data usage. As Sweden's most comprehensive national transport network, we are responsible for 70,000 kilometers of fiber cables, transporting the majority of the country's IP traffic. Through our fiber, we connect 1,700,000 households and offices. Large parts of the mobile networks are connected to our fiber, which forms the basis for the 5G investment that is underway in Sweden. Overall, it is clear that our fiber network reaches a large part of our population and plays a crucial role in our society.
Reliability and minimal environmental impact
We have a long tradition of offering our customers reliable networks, which means an established and strong on-site preparedness together with our contractors and our suppliers of materials. We actively participate in community planning, which gives us the opportunity to place our fiber cables in street land and minimize the risk of unintentional excavation. By following, but also further adapting, the current industry concept for the construction of robust fiber, we ensure that we offer reliable fiber networks both now and for the future.
We are also one of the few network providers that place our cables in their own tunnels. We have high demands on our ducting, higher demands than most. We have carefully chosen a ducting that is both durable and environmentally sustainable. When laying our fiber cables, we take into account both biotopic and archaeological aspects.
This, in line with our safety thinking, allows us to ensure that our fiber network can withstand the load from heavy vehicles while our commitment to minimizing environmental impact is unwavering.
Securing fiber networks for the country's security
The security of Sweden and its citizens, of our customers, customers' customers, ourselves and all operations that depend on our network is of course a priority.
As a national network provider, it is of the utmost importance that we are prepared for various events such as cyber attacks, intrusions and sabotage. We have an ongoing back-up routine to ensure our production in times of crisis.
Information about our networks is to some extent limited for the sake of Sweden's security. For this reason, we have a separate policy for how we handle network and map information that is adapted and well-balanced in the balance between openness and security.

We have over 100 years of experience in secure telecommunications and data centers that include robust caverns, data centers, regional nodes in all locations and thousands of access nodes around Sweden. There is also space for our customers to park their own equipment. We play a crucial role in Sweden's total defence and our infrastructure meets very high standards.
