What is Placement With Placement, you can establish your equipment quickly in quality‑assured technical facilities across Sweden. You get a flexible, reliable setup – with power, cooling and on‑site service included – and can easily connect additional Telia Wholesale products. Placement provides straightforward access to Telia Wholesale’s fibre infrastructure and related deployment products.

Place your equipment where it suits your business
The product allows you to deploy your equipment in Telia Wholesale or customer-owned cabinets at locations that suit your business, supporting competitive connectivity offerings.
All Placement sites meet Telia’s requirements for building and installation quality and provide a stable platform with high availability. Your equipment is placed in the same technical facilities as Telia’s, enabling efficient deployment and smooth interaction. Availability may vary by location.
Secure operations and maintenance
You gain access to a technical facility designed for secure and stable operation, with access control at entry as well as A‑alarms and systems for heating, ventilation and cooling (HVAC). All alarms are monitored by the operations organisation to enable rapid action. Standard maintenance and cleaning of the facilities are included in the service. In the event of a fault in the power or cooling systems, remediation is carried out around the clock, all year round, with feedback provided when needed.
Connection and agreed power capacity
The connection to your equipment is made via an Operator Distribution Point (ODP), which is placed in your allocated space or at the top of your rack and is dedicated solely to you as a customer. Skanova is responsible for installing the network up to the ODP, while the connection between the ODP and your equipment is managed by you.
Power, power supply and cooling are delivered according to the agreed capacity. All feeds are dimensioned and fused according to your order, and backup power is provided as specified in your agreement.
