What is Operator Node Connection
Operator Node Connection makes it easy to use Telia’s fibre products without having a colocation or physical placement in the local exchange. The service links your node or equipment room outside the exchange to the Telia exchange. The connection terminates at a fixed handover point in the building.
You get a stable and reliable fibre solution where Telia is responsible for the installation, operation and maintenance of the part that sits in our infrastructure. This gives you secure access to fibre in the exchange, while allowing you to place your equipment where it best supports your business.

Choice of fiber connection
When you order Operator Node Connection, you choose how the fibres are extended from the handover point to your node. You can use the existing in‑building network, a connection cable, or a cable all the way to your premises. Each option supports different types of installations, allowing you to adapt the solution to your node environment and the capacity you need.
Telia Wholesale installs and maintains the cable, single‑mode ITU‑T G.652, and offers fiber counts from 12 to 192 fibres. This gives you a solution that can scale, expand and integrate into your network structure, while keeping interfaces and responsibilities clear across the entire run.
Service levels for fault resolution
When something goes wrong, you should get support quickly. Fault resolution for Operator Trunk follows the service level of the connection that is carried over the trunk. You normally report the fault on the connection itself, and the process continues from there. Telia handles faults related to the connection being transported, while you are responsible for your own node and equipment outside the exchange.
