Wavelength is a wavelength solution implemented using active WDM systems in Telia’s optical fiber network. It is used when you have high requirements for performance, control, and availability. The solution is designed for organizations that need a robust network capable of meeting both current and future capacity demands.

The solution is designed for organizations that need a robust network that can support both today’s and tomorrow’s capacity needs.
More capacity in your network
Increase capacity and improve cost efficiency in your network. A single wavelength allows you to expand your own transport network, create backup for an existing structure, or enable peering connections. Each fiber pair can carry a large number of channels distributed across different wavelengths, enabling efficient use of fiber capacity and providing significant cost advantages compared to using one connection per fiber pair.
Secure delivery with high availability
Ensure that your traffic gets through, even when incidents occur in the network. Wavelength is built with built‑in redundancy and is monitored around the clock, year‑round. There are always alternative paths available for traffic, ensuring high availability for business‑critical applications. The solution can be configured from PoP‑to‑PoP to end‑to‑end, with the option for installation at your own premises.
