How a fully welded connection works

A fully welded connection means that the fiber route is welded through the transport network nodes instead of being connectorized. Only the end points are connectorized, resulting in a more stable and high‑performance connection. This leads to lower attenuation, lower PMD, reduced reflections, and a lower risk of outages.

Fully welded connection is offered on a quotation basis and can be ordered for Multi User, Multi User Dual, and Transport. This add‑on is suitable for operations that require maximum optical quality and long‑term operational reliability.
